Start off slowly and increase speed as you move the lever down. Pull back up and the reel changes direction and increases in speed as you move the lever. Here is the answer for most Hobby Beekeepers with more than a few colonies! This little beauty can extract 9 of either size super frame (5 3/8" or 6 1/4"). Add the additional cages which are included and you can extract 3 each 9 1/8" frames tangentially. The barrel has a diameter of 25" and is also 25" tall. The legs get it up off the floor and make it a breeze to secure to the floor. The steel helical gear drive box makes this extractor very easy to crank and is heavy duty.
